Cron Event goes missing

I am using All In One WP Security (5.3.8) and WP Crontrol (1.17.1, By John Blackbourn). Whatever cron event I am adding, gets deleted. I am adding as Standard cron event, with a hook name. The cron event is in the events lists and get executed for a week or so and then it is no longer in the list.
